Project Assistant
At the Lab, our Project Assistant is a dynamic multitasker with a knack for getting her hands onto every deck, providing expertise and support across projects. The team at the Lab love Ruby's willingness to dive into new challenges headfirst and her infectious bubbly attitude. Her enviable organisation, communication and collaboration skills, coupled with her ability to pick things up quickly and run with them, make her an invaluable asset to the team. She's an excellent sounding board for ideas, and has a keen eye for design. When she's not working at the Lab, you'll find Ruby exploring Canberra's beautiful bushland on foot or by bike, embarking on multi-day hikes, or whipping up elaborate dinners for her friends.
In addition to a budding career in International Development, Ruby is currently studying a Bachelor of International Relations, with minors in Development Studies and Political Science, along with a Bachelor of Economics. Ruby has also spent time in France, Ireland, Fiji and Indonesia with her studies. She has experience in Government Institutions, the Global Institute for Women's Leadership, and as a news reporter, as well as volunteering with UNYouth, Amnesty International, and the Smith Family.
Ruby has honed her research, synthesis, critical-thinking and analytical writing skills behind the scenes of our flagship publications, the Intel and the Readout. Reach out if you'd like to contribute to either of these platforms!
