Project Officer
At the Lab, our Project Officer is a scheduling powerhouse who’s never said no to a good old debate. The team at the Lab love Izzy’s deep commitment to genuine partnerships and superior note-taking and scheduling abilities. Secretly, Izzy always thought she’d be the first woman Prime Minister of Australia and she cried when Julia Gillard beat her to it. As it turns out, international development is a much more intellectually stimulating field than politics. When she’s not working at the Lab, you’ll findIzzy out on the lake, coaching an early morning rowing session.
In addition to a career in international development, Izzy is currently studying a Bachelor of International Relations, majoring in Human Rights, and a Bachelor of Languages, majoring in German and minoring in Spanish. In a previous life she also worked as Oaktree’s ACT Branch Manager and Deputy Head of Community Engagement.
Izzy has honed her delegation and organisation skills as the busy bee behind the scenes of our Situation Rooms, making sure everything goes off without a hitch. Her dedication to setting deadlines in Outlook never goes unnoticed and the Lab’s publications wouldn’t be possible without her. The funky start-up nature of The Lab has taught Izzy more about grant management, and influencing policy than she ever could have imagined.
